Meet the Team
Patti Lashley
Founder of Changes Counseling
I have a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Arkansas Fayetteville. My areas of specialty are trauma, depression, anxiety, sexual issues, and issues specific to the LGBTIQIA+ community.
I have been where you are today, it’s hard, intimidating and you may be asking yourself “how did I get here”. How you are feeling is how I felt and the main reason why I wanted to become a Mental Health Therapist. I view therapy as a journey toward growth, you will get out of it what you put into it. I will be supportive and you will have a safe space to discuss issues, most of all you will get my honesty.
I am certified as a Sex Offender Treatment Provider as well as a Sex Therapy Informed Professional. I am the past president of the Arkansas Counseling Association and current member of the American Counseling Association.
During our journey I will frequently incorporate tools and techniques from the following theories: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gottman, Brainspotting, Somatic Processing, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Attachment Based Therapy.
Jade Stubbs
Licensed Associate Counselor at Changes Counseling
I planted roots in NWA after graduating with my masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Arkansas. I am excited to help you along this counseling journey by providing you with a safe space where you can feel comfortable enough to truly grow. I am primarily a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist who uses expressive art techniques on an as needed basis. You will also have the opportunity to participate in sessions with my therapy dog-in training, Jill-Pup. I aim to create an environment welcoming to clients of all genders, races, cultures & sexualities. I stay informed on the most recent information in counseling by actively participating in several professional counseling associations. I am currently focusing on research related to multicultural issues and gender affirming care. My areas of specialty are depression, anxiety, issues specific to those in LGBTQIA+ community, and multicultural related issues. I know therapy can be a scary and difficult journey which is why I choose to walk with my clients through the process, so you don't have to do it alone. As a woman of color, I recognize how difficult it can be to find inclusive spaces, so I aim to be that welcoming place for all clients to feel seen & heard.
Davis Karnes-Langdon
Graduate Intern at Changes Counseling
I am pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Harding University. I have been practicing for a year and have found so much purpose and passion through the experience. I view therapy as the tool people use to examine, alter the patterns, and grow the tapestry of their lives. My areas of specialty are emotions, anxiety, depression, trauma, and issues specific to the LGBTQIA2S+ community. I have personally benefitted from the therapeutic process in the past so I understand how isolating the first steps of the journey can feel, you are not alone and if you are reading this you have already taken those first steps. As your therapist, I will provide a space of unconditional positive regard, empathy, and safety. During your journey, I will frequently incorporate tools and techniques from the following theories: Emotion-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
